Project: "Autobiographical essays, memoirs "The fate of the family" and their role in the collection, processing, accumulation, updating and storing information about the fate of Jewish families during World War II."

Problems determining the actuality and necessity of writing autobiographical essays and memoirs in part 1 of the book "The Fate of the Family" about the fate of Jewish families in the World War II:

1. These problems challenge the denial of the Holocaust, revisionist attempts to deny and distort historical facts and historical truth about the extermination of Europe Jews ( http://warrax.net/81/graf.html ). For this purpose, various forms of manipulation of facts and explanations are using.

2. There are myths about the complete rejection of Holocaust, mass genocide of Jews in countries occupied by Nazi Germany. These myths are trying to spread some anti-Semitic historians, politicians, organizations and countries. While the facts of the policies and methods of extermination of Jews and collected information about the victims of the Holocaust memorials in various centers talk about the real death of more than 6 million Jews and the tragedy of European Jewry during WWII.

3. On the background of real attempts to Holocaust denial there are insufficient reflections of heroism of Jews during WWII, although in the Red Army and in the troops of the anti-Hitler coalition there were many Jews who demonstrated heroism at the front, in the guerrilla movement and working in the rear.

4. In the USSR, at the household level, anti-Semites use every opportunity to say that Jews holed up in Tashkent. But here's what WWII veterans write. 5. Not all data on the combat and non-combat losses Jews were collected. For example collecting data on deaths in the evacuation began carrying out only recently.

6. No systematic approach and systematic understanding fate of Jewish families in the databases of the Holocaust. Grouping data disaggregated by families are simply absent. Parts of the members of Jewish families were evacuated. They worked in the rear and helped for the front and fought the war on the fronts and in the guerrilla movement. Some just were exiled and stayed in Stalin's camps.

7. No single database wherever systematically collected data on the fate of the Jews and their families. There are various databases of those killed in the Holocaust and on the fronts, memory books, memories, collections of memories of war veterans, prisoners of ghettos and concentration camps. And, that is, through the data on the fate of Jewish families during WWII a single database on the fate of European Jews during WWII can be built.

8. Several children are born in many families and not everyone can have photos, awards, award cards, written memories and documents. Presence of memories, autobiographical sketches of families in electronic forms will keep the memory about the fate of the family for everybody.

9. New generations of Jews is growing, most of whom do not know anything about the fate of their families grandparents, grandparents etc. during WWII. 10. In principle, there is no tradition to leave for subsequent generations autobiographical essays about the fate of families of previous generations. There are only individual memories, memoirs.... It is not part of the culture and therefore is not systemic.:

1. Creating an e-book "The Fate of the Family" part 1, in which will be included chapters on the fate of families during the Second World War (WWII).

2. And reflect and show that, along with the Holocaust, the Jews of Europe and Jews of the anti-Hitler coalition showed heroism on the fronts of WWII, in the guerrilla movement, in underground and demonstrated/showcased selfless work in the rear. This must be one of the information source which will be in contrast to the myths that are trying to spread some anti-Semitic historians, politicians, organizations and countries.

3. Save available and transmitted from generation to generation, from mouth to mouth information about the fate of families during WWII in particular prescribed format that will allow this information to be stored in a single database.

4. Write and transfer private memories and documents for future generations. Since many families several children are born and not everyone can have family photos, written memories and documents. A presence in the electronic form of essays about the fate of family memories will preserve the memory of them. One of the important primary directions is – the writing memories about the fate of families during the Second World War for future generations.

5. Maintain centralized collection, accumulation, processing and storage chapters on the fate of Jewish families during the Second World War (WWII) and store written electronic chapters in parts and sections, chapters, stories ... on web site in the database.

Part can be in the context of a country, Section can be in the context of atown/village, Chapter can be in the context of a family and story can be in context of the fate of the person/individual.

6. In his memoirs about the fate of families can reflect episodes in the war, events in the rear, which are directly linked and touched a particular family.

7. In the future, the proposed approach of writing chapters about the fate of families can be applied to other nations involved in WWII and write chapters about fates of the families in the modern period. 8. Directions for achieving the goals.

1. To achieve the goal of the proposed project "Fate of the family" is planning to collect chapters about the fate of Jewish families during WWII.

1.1. The format of the chapter is shown on the example of the family Kheifets from Minsk is attached. An important element of the proposed format of chapter “Fate of the family” is a reflection of the available relevant information in the table “Survival status of family members”.

1.2. Table “Survival status of family members” is based on the control row for each family member.

1.3. There are several levels of reflection loss of Jewish people during WWII - general statistical data, by country, by city and communities, by families and for specific person/individual. 

Organizational form of the project: Initiative Groups

In the initiative group can discuss the experience of writing such memories. Represent fragments of such memories. It is important to write and transfer your memories and documents for future generations. As one of the important project direction is - writing memories about the fate of families during the World War II for future generations...

The global objective of the project - the creation of a single technology collection, accumulation, processing, updating, capture and storage of information about the fate of families survived the Great Patriotic War / World War II. Necessary to create a centralized database, which will bring together all existing information in the new created single database.

Expected Results

Writing autobiographical essays about the fate of Jewish families during WWII and tabulation of survival of family members will allow new insight into the struggle and heroism of European Jews for survival on the European continent, the war-torn and mass extermination of the Jewish population in all occupied Europe countries.

Prospects for approbation the proposed methodological approach is for collecting, processing, accumulation and storage of information about the fate of Jewish families. This approach can be further generalized to families of different nations. This should be a generic approach. It must be defined uniform format account information row of the person who lived in World War II period. Format account information row is basis for centralized database. Account information row of the person in database should be linking to id of his/her family.

Continuation of such a database for the Jews is the account of the Jewish population in the world with reference to family identification (id). Family identifier must be a link in the database. Since the family is not only the economic unit of the state, but also the specific nation. Reproduction of the nation is in family that determines their existence in the future.
